Director's Philosophy:
As a Theatre Director and Educator, I believe in fostering a professional environment that both challenges and nurtures the intellectual and creative potential of my students. In my classroom and productions, I strive to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application. I emphasize the importance of high-quality theatre productions not only in the final product, but in the process as well, creating a comprehensive learning experience. Through collaborative work in the areas of acting, technical theatre, and production management, students are exposed to industry standards, preparing them for potential careers in the performing arts while simultaneously developing essential life skills such as communication, problem-solving, and teamwork.
In our theatre program, students take on leadership roles and hold creative ownership over their work with my guidance as their Director. This empowers them to find their voice, both literally and figuratively, within the context of a collaborative ensemble. I aim to inspire in them a love for theatre and a dedication to excellence, while also equipping them with the tools they need to succeed both on and off the stage. Whether they pursue careers in the arts or elsewhere, I hope they leave my program with a strong sense of self, a passion for creativity, and the confidence to make meaningful contributions to the world around them.
